The loss and theft of livestock is a large-scale and expensive problem. This is a common problem, especially in countries where herds of animals roam free on large areas of land. The damage per farmer can amount to millions of euros. Can localization be facilitated and theft of animals prevented?

We have developed a concept for both hardware, firmware and the physical product. In terms of hardware and firmware, we have looked at which functionalities are crucial for the proper functioning of a tracker and theft detector. At product level, we have researched existing solutions and emphasized animal and user-friendly solutions assembly and installation.

The result is a compact, battery powered product:

• with which a farmer can individual animals llocalize using LoRa and Bluetooth (accuracy up to 15m)
• geo-demarcation with an alert
• theft prevention on the basis of geo-demarcation and notification of product removal

This product is safe and easy to assemble and to install around the animal's neck.
