miggy

IoT quickly applied with versatile multi-sensor

Question

Companies that want to start with IoT, have to find out everything by themselves about available hardware, connectivity, portals and most importantly: how to integrate all within their own operation? Miggy is founded to bridge the gap between the needs of the market and the offer from the industry. Dent IoT is asked by Miggy to co-develop a small, versatile multi-sensor device that could be easily applied and integrated into existing operations and environments.

Approach

The product is (re)traceable with a combination of Bluetooth, LoRa and sound, which makes the product unique in it’s kind. It is also extremely energy efficient and the device can be configured for and applied to all sorts of purposes. That’s why we made a compact product with the following functionalities: temperature, humidity, 3-axis accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, barometer, light sensor, hall sensor, tilt sensor, buzzer, magneto-meter and location based on LoRa trilateration. All of this is placed on a very small “footprint”.

Result

A small device (de MS-02) is usable for a lot of tasks, because of its functionalities. Customers of Miggy use Bluetooth communication for selecting and combining the functionalities into a device-profile that could be used for f.e.:

  • Asset tracker
  • Alarm sensor for doors or valuable assets like art
  • Distance-detection (for example in the fight against COVID-19)
  • Environmental sensor for measuring room temperature or humidity.
  • Localisation with bluetooth beacon (indoor and outdoor)
  • Maintenance detection

Since the Miggy MS-02 is so small in size, it is possible to stick or position it on almost any wanted location.
